The Finnish word Kohta has two meanings: 1) point, section, place 2) soon. In the context of time it refers both to the present and to the future. The piece focuses on specific isolated moments (points) and detailed sound objects that build up three larger sections. The promise of something happening soon creates a feeling of anticipation throughout the piece, carrying out the homonym Kohta’s double meaning.
