While working on Stereoactive I was inspired by the Webernian orchestration and its mosaic-like treatment of timbre. Fast shifting of colours serves as a focal point in the piece as I explore further the idea of movement by creating actively moving rhythmic patterns and layers.

The doubling of instruments as well as the similarity in their simultaneously sounding material creates a kind of acoustic stereo effect thus blurring the individuality of the instruments and creating a unity.
